Fiddle and Raga

FIDDLE AND RAGA Fiddle and Raga
Fiddle and Raga,
Great connoisseurs.
Lovers of new words.
Very affectionate couple too.
FIDDLE ONE DAY TO Raga (NOTE) :
“My dear Raga! Dear Sweet Heart !
Your people are all ancient Acharyas.
Even though they had put up glum and grave faces
Cautioned you not to marry me, ‘The English’
You have married me with guts, with great fanfare”.
RAGA
Yes Darling!
“Thanks to Pattabhi,
It is only because of his boldness
That could happen
Fiddle and Raga are now a model couple.
Suddenly Fiddle asked the Raga one day.
“Raga Dear ! Raga Dear !
Would you really love me like this, ever, for ever?”
RAGA retorted : -
“Oh ! What a doubt to nourish my dear wife, my companion of life ?
My very existence is now blended with yours.
Having married you, despite their vilifying whispers,
derisive laughters
I am deriving indescribable happiness indeed
Thanks to the abundance of your affection.
Fiddle’s heart chords chimed with great pleasure.
Raga embraced Fiddle with great passion.
Their bodies too became one over a bed of springs.
They gave birth to many children,
Their children too to their children.
A treasure indeed of very great promise
prospect and pleasure.
All of them call Pattabhi, Grand Pa! Grand Pa! affectionately.
